SP Performance Cross Drilled Rotors have taken it to the next level by eliminating the sharp edges on our Cross Drilled holes. By doing this, it greatly reduces the chance of cracking and lowers the rotor temperature by moving the air and brake dust from the disc brake surface. By keeping the surface temperature down, this nearly eliminates heat checking and warping. The Cross Drilled holes also reduce the risk of hydroplaning when hitting a puddle by allowing the water to not get trapped between the brake pads and the brake rotors. The anti-corrosion coating is available in three colors; Gray ZRC, Silver ZRC, and Black ZRC.

All SP Performance Rotors are manufactured to OEM specifications, machine balanced and coated with your choice or ZRC color.

After many years of development we have come up with a drilling and chamfering method that absolutely has no sharp edges. Our brake discs are drilled with our exclusive sinusoid curved chamfer. The chamfer promotes cooling, minimizes stress, vents moisture and dust while minimizing heat checking and cracking. The smooth design also increases both rotor and pad life.

How Cross Drilled Brake Rotors Work

Cross Drilled Rotors, as mentioned above, are the go to for all performance car manufacturers. The reason for this is the ability for the holes to keep the brake pads and brake rotors as cool as possible during heavy braking. The cross drilled holes, just like in the drilled and slotted brake rotors, will keep the brakes cooler and help with removing water to prevent hydroplaning. While Cross Drilled rotors look amazing and perform great, there is a risk that comes with them. There is always the chance of these brake rotors developing stress cracks when under extreme use, the radial chamfer on SP Rotors will reduce those stress cracks. Also, during normal street use, the rotors will never see enough heat to create stress cracks, however, with that said, these rotors are not recommended for track use.

SP Performance Limited Lifetime Warranty

SP Performance rotors are warranted to be free of defects in workmanship, and are guaranteed not to crack for the life of the rotor*.

*The life of the rotor is measured by the minimal thickness. Warranty does not apply to worn out rotors.

Warranty does NOT cover the following:

• Brake noise or squealing.
• Rotors worn to minimum thickness.
• Pulsation caused by other factors such as a faulty caliper, worn out hardware, or excessive brake pad material transfer.
• Damage caused by excessive overheating (bluing) of the rotors.
• Off-road, commercial, or racing applications.
• Improper installation, modification, or product abuse.
• Shipping charges.

Terms and conditions of the warranty:

The warranty must be filed within 30 days of purchase. Save your original receipt. If you have a warranty claim, call us for return authorization. No returns will be accepted without an authorization number on the outside of the box. The original receipt of purchase must be included with the return. This warranty applies to the original purchaser only, and that the product was installed in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations. This warranty does not apply to commercial vehicles or vehicles used in racing.

SP Performance will not pay for any labor or consequential damages or materials which may be necessary for replacement of its products. The warranty is limited to the exchange of the product only, and only after the manufacturers inspection of the defect. No other warranty is hereby given or implied. SP Performance does not accept or assume any liability from damages resulting from errors, changes, or improper installation of its products.

To register this warranty, here is all you have to do:

Fill out the warranty registration online at www.sp-performance.com within 30 days of purchase. Save your original receipt. If you have a warranty claim, call us for a return authorization. No returns will be accepted without having the authorization number on the outside of the box. The original receipt of the purchase must be included with the claim.

If a claim is filed:

The product has to be returned to SP Performance for inspection at the customers expense (shipping is not covered under warranty). The product is inspected for claimed defect, and if the condition of the product is deemed defective, a replacement of the product will be shipped at no charge less shipping. If the condition of the product is determined to be acceptable, no replacement will be given. No packages will be accepted without the authorization number on the box.
